Rather a menacing look to this bought about by the color of the water.
Taking up Jason's point, I imagine the dams and power plants provide areas of open water in which the eagles can fish when other places are frozen, yes?

@Ronnie 2¢: Yes, they do! During the winter there may be as many as 30 eagles...dwindling during the summer to sometimes less than 10. I caught a couple of pictures of them, though not very close. The pictures will come along soon...
Interesting place - power plant, river, eagles, all in one area. Nice.

Awesome! I think it is great and a happy consequence that this powerplant provides a winter fishing ground for the eagles to thrive, while helping to satisfy a very human need for electricity.
