With the most recent snow storm, Maryland government covered the roads in salt, trying to melt the ice and snow cover. On busier streets, the cars splash the water, slush, and salt up onto the mailboxes.
This just sighs "Winter!" Hope spring comes there soon.

Brrr! At temps below -15°C (5 F) salt doesn't work any more. Very nice picture, nonetheless!

this makes a really appealing image. What a shame they use so much salt and so indiscriminently. At least you got a great shot from this! I love it.

Great shot Tracey! When we were living in Maine during the winter months, our mail box was often buried by the snowplows.
