A super composition; the sunlight reflected off the water/sand and the shadows and textures of the footprints in the sand are visual treats. But I cheated and looked at your other blog yesterday (got a preview of this one); funny story there.

@GJC: Thanks GJC! That was what made the photo different for me. That and the selective focus on the element that one would not think to focus on. Obviously the sun rise would be the first thought. Nothing like a bit of the unexpected!

brilliant use fo shallow depth of field... the footprints really invite one to follow into the hazy distance... the little spots of flare from the sun look like glitter - nice effect!
