A Walk Before Dawn

The lighting of the pre-dawn hours was hugely saturated in cyan. I hate that. So, I preferred the conversion to black and white. I went with high contrast for mood.

Good choice on the bw and hi-sat look for this shot; I like the straight horizon, but the angled shoreline. Together it make it look as if this walker has an uphill climb. Really nice work.

@Viewfinder: Funny you would mention the horizon line and the sand line. It took me forever to be satisfied with the lines. I knew the I wanted the horizon to be straight, but it bothered me that the beach was at such an angle. After much cropping and undoing, I finally realized that I couldn't change how the lines actually were in real life and now I love the image! Thanks for the comment!

The sky and sea with no clear horizon makes for a very interesting photo - very unusual and striking. This works wonderfully in b&w, and I agree with VF that the angled beach is wonderful.
