@Chris: Thanks Chris. I was lucky to get the camera out when I did because soon the sun was so harsh that you could hardly look at the camera!

@MadScientist: He hates to be photographed. He rarely looks at the camera and he almost never smiles. I guess at 11 he is too cool for Mom to take pictures of him. I was lucky to get this one. I normally will sneak up on him and call his name. I was glad he smiled this time!

@Peter Miller: No posing involved! I can't get him to pose if I wanted to! He was sitting in the sand, enjoying himself and I called his name. ;0)

11 years (I guess today puberty comes a bit earlier than three decades ago) is a complicated age for boys. While girls usually develop faster and walk hand in hand, giggling together, a boy makes his experiences alone while trying to hide his confusion from all others. I needed almost three years for this until I was sort of 'reborn', so all the best for him! :-)
