At the End of a Long Pier

@Chris: hey Chris, thanks for the comment. I use photoshop. First, I make a duplicate copy of the pic by dragging the pic to the new layer icon in the layers box. Then, I use the rectangular selection tool to select around the edges. Then I feather it to my liking (usually about 100). Then I select inverse. Once that is done, I hit Control M to bring up the curve adjustment dialog baox. I bring the highlight dot (all the way in the top right corner) all the way to the bottom of the graph. I click ok. Then, I change the opacity of the adjustment layer in the layers box to liking. Hope this helps!
