The next series of pictures, you will be happy to hear, is a bit different from all of the garden ones of late. About a month ago (that is how backed up in my editing I am) my family took a trip to Lake George, NY. These will be the pictures from that trip.
As we left for our trip at the crack of dawn, I had my husband pull over so I could take a few of the sunrise. The only editing was a curves adjustment to bring up the shadows a bit and of course, a web sharpening.
I am working on a project with my kids and need your help. If you live in the United States, please check out this link to my postcrossing blog for details (look in the sidebar under 50 States Challenge): iPost

@dj.tigersprout: Thanks for commenting!
Great composition, the road is perfectly placed and the wires and sun are placed wonderfully also. The colors are great - I look forward to seeing some more shots of you vacation....

@Chris: Thanks Chris! I did place the sun and the road in the frame on purpose, so thanks for noticing! I, however, can not take credit for the placement of the wires :0p
Lovely shadow detail! More than just a sunset shot!!!

This is a lovely shot on so many levels . . I particularly like how the entire scene is infused with that wonderful light of sunrise.

A beautiful image. Tracey. The way you've captured the light is really amazing and the contrast between the highlights and deep shadows is very dramatic, indeed. This has real style!
