I would say black and white works well for a Pirate. The crisp detail of the face with the motion of the hand lets one in on the storytelling in action. Another nice capture.

@Peter Miller: He was pretty realistic. The kids loved him and his storytelling. His accent even sounded authentic!
Cool shot Tracey. I'm curious as to why you used such a small apeture for this, just to keep the entirety of the pirate in focus?

@DaveB: I used such a small apeture for this one because behind him was the city of Baltimore...too many distracting things to take away from the picture. Even with the small apeture, I still had to dodge out some distracting details. The same was true about the color, which is why I choose sepia. Thanks for the question!
He looks very into it...Nice candid portrait

@Man With 101 Names: I never spent much time there as a young adult, but it sure is a beautiful area. They have revamped it in recent years and it is beautiful! Glad to meet another person from around these parts ;0) Where is Hamburg?
He looks like a sea monster is about to climb on board. Very nice.

@Michael Rawluk: No sea monsters, however, they did have the pirates sail in on a clipper boat and "invade" the city. It was a fun day!
wow, that is really nice and crisp... great expression too!
